GameTio sources and drafting
We use developer pages, official platform descriptions, and official announcements for published game facts. Sources appear alongside the information they support and in each page’s source list.
Third-party reports can help research a topic, but they do not become official facts. When a detail cannot be verified, we leave it out or describe the limitation explicitly.
AI assists the research and writing process. Drafts are checked against the linked material and reviewed separately from the implementation. Search-result snippets help locate a source; they do not replace reading the original page. We paraphrase supported details and credit their sources instead of presenting copied passages as our own work.
Checking sources is different from playing
The Sources checked date records when the linked material was reviewed. It is not a promise that the game has not changed since then.
Hands-on testing is a separate status. We do not describe a code as working, a strategy as tested, or a game as reviewed from personal experience without that evidence.
GameTio codes and video references
A code copied from another guide is not enough to publish it as active. We require attributable official evidence and clearly distinguish that from in-game redemption testing.
The covers shown here come from official public game listings and identify the games discussed. Credits link to the original pages; this does not imply endorsement. Permitted games load from their publisher in an embedded frame; other Play buttons open official external pages. GameTio does not copy or distribute the game files.
Video references identify the creator, source URL, check date and relevant point. A transcript check is labelled as such when picture playback could not be verified. A pre-release video is not represented as a current-version test, and one player's result does not establish a guaranteed strategy.
Dates and corrections
Content is updated when a relevant source is checked and the article is reviewed. We do not automatically advance dates to make a page look fresh.
If sources disagree, the uncertainty should remain visible until it can be resolved. We revise or remove unsupported claims rather than invent a missing detail.
