Nightfall Hunt Guide: Gameplay and Controls

Gameplay overview

A 3D horror action game where you play either survivor or killer inside a dark school. Hide, hunt, and escape through corridors full of hiding spots and escape routes.

Survivor and Killer objectives

As a Survivor, work with teammates to hack five computers, power the exit gates, open a gate and escape. Help fallen teammates and use hiding places to evade the Killer; the page warns that hiding is ineffective if the Killer sees you enter. As the Killer, patrol the school, interrupt hacks and pursue Survivors.

Controls by role

Move with WASD or the arrow keys, look with the mouse, interact with E and pause with Esc. Survivors hold Shift to sprint, toggle crouch with C or Ctrl, press Space for hacking checks, hold Space to struggle when carried, and use F for an equipped item. Killers attack with left click or F and use Q for their ability or to drop a carried Survivor. Mobile uses a left joystick, right-side dragging to look and on-screen action buttons in landscape orientation.
