How does combat work?
According to the official page, each combat gives you five actions. Running out before defeating the enemy ends the run. Press 1 to spit, 2 to kick or 3 to defend. Kicking requires recovery on the next turn; defending reduces incoming damage and counterattacks.

How should you arrange the backpack?
Items improve spit and kick attacks and activate from left to right, then top to bottom. Additive items add damage; multipliers affect only the damage accumulated before them.
