About Swarm Reign
Swarm Reign is AtneGames’ horde-survival action game. Dodge enemies, improve your weapons during a run and use Crown Shards for permanent upgrades.
What happens during a run?
Move with WASD or the arrow keys and choose between three upgrade cards with 1, 2 or 3. Cards can improve a weapon or ability, or offer a weapon evolution. The current choices show their effects before you pick.
Bosses include the Herald of Ash and Ashen Sovereign. The result screen records survival time, enemies slain, level reached and shards earned. Play Again starts another run; Back to Menu takes you to the menu containing Permanent Upgrades.

What carries over between runs?
Spend Crown Shards through Permanent Upgrades on the main menu. The six upgrade types affect starting health, base damage, movement speed, starting weapon cooldown, pickup radius and shards earned. These are separate from level-up choices during a run.
The upgrade screen shows your balance and the next cost beside each Unlock or Upgrade button. Check those values in your game rather than treating the developer's sample screenshot as a fresh account.
